Jack, today would be your first birthday. I’ve wanted so badly to write about you, to share your life like your mommy has on her blog, but I’ve just not been able to write about anything, let alone your life. I want you to know how much I love you, how much I miss you, and that I just wanted to say happy birthday. The 8 months we spent together as a family were the happiest days of my life, and while I know that one day I will be happy again, the happiness will NEVER be as sweet as those 8 months were. I will always celebrate your life in any way that I can, and today I will do that by sharing with the world the gift that your life was.

For those of you who plan on watching the video, it had to be split into two parts to fit onto YouTube, so there may be a slight pause after the 5:48 point. This is the video that was played at Jack’s wake. It is Jack’s life in 14 minutes. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
