Got two kids? Wife going crazy wanting to get out of the house with them? You are in need of a double stroller my friend. Yes that horrible thing you see at festivals and malls, the double-wide, hideous stroller that holds your two beloveds. The thing every husband will fight tooth and nail CropperCapture[1]against dropping a few C notes on (they aren’t cheap), only to be beaten down down by our wives like the frail men we all are.  Well, when my wife and I found out we were expecting #2, we knew she needed an efficient way to get them around. You know, to get to all those really demanding play groups she goes to.

We didn’t want that stroller you all have been run over by, those giant monstrosities that take down small children and dogs on your neighborhood walks. So we did some research, and it happened that my brother and sister in law had a Phil and Teds double stroller that we used when we were out in Seattle visiting last summer. It’s a smaller inline tandem stroller, that is no bigger than a standard jogging stroller.  We were both pretty convinced, and decided that’s what we needed. When we came back home, luckily there was a local stroller store that carries Phil and Teds and other ridiculously overpriced stroller brands (they’re not easy to find in Ohio). $400 later (we got ours on sale, $299 for the stroller, $79 for the second child attachment), we were on our way.

A Little More Information for You

Here’s where I wish I had known about this stroller when we were first pregnant with Sam. $400 is a lot of money to spend on a stroller, right?  However, the Phil and Teds Classic can also accommodate a baby carrier (with another attachment), meaning if you do it right, you only have to get one stroller that can hold a baby carrier, expand to a double stroller, and also be used for jogging. If I had known this, we would only have one overpriced stroller, not 3 (1 stroller for baby carrier, 1 jogging stroller, 1 Phil and Teds Classic). So, for the diversity of options you get, and for the money (it’s on the cheaper end for a higher end stroller), it’s the best double stroller you’ll find on the market.

Because parents keep doin’ it, phil&teds needs to keep on doin’ it!
